The Video Track allows you to capture fun and engaging photos & videos, edit them adding your own creative style, and learn the basics of live production!
IN THE VIDEO TRACK YOU WILL
- Choose one of four specialized focuses for the week: Editing, Filming, Live Production, or Photography.
- Learn how to create your own awesome videos in the Editing focus! If you love creating your own video projects, this is the focus for you. You’ll learn how to add cool effects and titles to your projects. You’ll have plenty of hands-on time with Apple products and will learn how to use video editing programs. Plus, you’ll have a lot of fun using your video-editing skills for the Lord!
- Learn how to capture great video in the Filming focus. You’ll start on a film set, learning about and performing all the jobs therein. We will also move around Camp Rock shooting footage “doc style.” Then the final class is drone day! Operate a camera, act in front of that camera, fly a drone for an aerial shot, and put on your director’s cap. Lights! Camera! Action!
- Learn the basics of live production including cameras, switchers, audio mixing, and more in the Live Production focus! Campers will get hands-on experience with production equipment throughout the week and then actually help run the Live Production during the Camp Rock Showcase on Sunday, July 26!
- Learn how to use a digital camera to make a fun & interesting photo, how to make good use of light, and how to help take photos of Camp Rock for Camp Rock… and maybe even learn the “art of the photobomb” in the Photography focus!
HERE ARE A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
- You must have completed grades 1-7 to participate in the Photography & Editing focuses.
- You must have completed grades 3-7 to participate in the Filming focus.
- You must have completed grades 5-7 to participate in the Live Production focus.
- You should wear your Camp Rock T-shirt each evening (you will receive a T-shirt on the first day of camp).
- You won’t need any supplies or prior experience for this track; just bring your creativity, a great attitude, and your great ideas!
